Turquoise Parrot

The Turquoise Parrot (*Neophema pulchella*) is a small, beautifully coloured parrot endemic to southeastern Australia, typically found in open grassy woodlands and forest edges. Once thought extinct in the early 2th century due to habitat loss and trapping, the species has made a modest recovery but remains vulnerable in parts of its range.
