Blue-breasted Quail
The Blue Breasted Quail, also known as the King Quail, is Australia’s smallest native game bird and a master of camouflage in grassy habitats across northern and eastern Australia. This elusive ground-dweller is rarely seen in the open, preferring to skulk through dense grass and sedge beds, making every encounter a memorable experience for birdwatchers.
