Bassian Thrush

The Bassian Thrush (*Zoothera lunulata*) is a large, secretive songbird found in the cool, damp forests and gullies of southeastern Australia, Tasmania, Kangaroo Island, and parts of northern Queensland. This ground-dwelling bird is most often seen quietly foraging in shaded, lush habitats with dense overhead canopy and abundant fallen leaves.
